ELIZABETHTOWN
COLLEGE ON STUDY TRAVEL IN ECUADOR
Professor
of International Studies Wayne Selcher comments on a recent
Spring Break Study Trip to Ecuador with students and faculty
from Elizabethtown College.
"We have just completed this College´s third annual
Spring Break Study Trip to Ecuador through The Experiment in
International Living in Ecuador (EIL Ecuador) in Quito, nine
full days in country each time, in the Andean region. All the
participants, ranging in age from 19 to 70, were ecstatic about
the trip. Those persons who had travelled abroad before were
especially effusive in their praise for the quality of service
by EIL, and the experiences we had. One participant said it
was better than his trekking trip to Nepal last year, which
was an excellent one. Two students are now seriously planning
to do a semester at our study abroad location in Ecuador, as
a result of this trip.
Several
persons said that they would like to go on this trip again in
a future year. Each year it gets better! Thanks so much to EIL
for this opportunity to take students, faculty and staff, graduates,
and friends of the College to Ecuador in such a special fashion.
The EIL staff is a joy to work with, accommodated the personal
needs and interests of everyone, and took genuine pleasure in
showing their country to us."
