ELDERHOSTEL PROGRAMS

   

I. BIRDS OF ECUADOR

Program Description:

Two-week birdwatching program for senior citizens from the U.S.A. and Canada

  

Includes:

  • Visit to Colonial Quito and the Equator
  • Birdwatching in the Andean cloud forest, rain forest of the Amazon, and dry forest along Ecuador´s Pacific Coast
  • Excellent English speaking birding guide and native guides
  • Assistance of EIL Coordinator throughout the program
  • Very comfortable lodging throughout the program

II. ADVENTURE AT LATITUDE ZERO

Program Description:

Two-week program for senior citizens and their grandchildren

Includes:

 

  • Exploring Colonial Quito, a world heritage site
  • The Equator where two hemispheres meet
  • The Province of Imbabura, home of the Otavalan Indians and their crafts
  • The tropical cloud forest
  • Painting with an Indian artist
  • Enjoying Andean music and making pan pipes
  • Interacting with Ecuadorians and their children
  • Very comfortable lodging
